Qualifications:

Attention to details and an ability to manage multiple priorities, sometimes under pressing deadlines. CFRE designation or desire to pursue it is considered an asset.

Kids On Track Summer Program Coordinator & Summer Supervisor
Summer Coordinator (1 position available)
13.00/h, 40h/week for 16 weeks (May-August)
Start date: May 5, 2008
Location: Edmonton, AB
Coordinator will be in charge of planning, booking and implementation of daily adventure field trips for 50-60 children 4 days a week, with one planning day a week. The Coordinator would be responsible for 4 staff members, and a number of Leaders In Training youth. Each day includes a spiritual component planned by the Coordinator including puppets, drama, worship, games, stories, and other creative ways to present the day's lesson. The Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing one week of camp for 70 children, including daily devotions, chapel services, activity liaison with the camp, and supervision of counselors. The position includes 1 paid training week with quality training from experienced staff members. The Coordinator will be responsible for integrating youth in training in to the program. Also, the Coordinator will be responsible for soliciting volunteer support for the program when necessary. A $20/day bonus is available for any applicant with a valid class 2 license able to drive a bus, or able to obtain a class 2 license by the start of day camps. Kids On Track will pay for 1 driving test. Some administration skills needed, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access or compatible programs, or, an ability to learn quickly. Some accounting skills needed. Leadership experience is an asset. Any specialized activity skill is an asset i.e. canoeing, wall climbing, sports etc.
Kids On Track offers a supportive Christian atmosphere where you can put your faith into action in an established urban outreach ministry. You would be mentored by experienced staff and function in a strong team environment.

Principal Responsibility
The Assistant Pastor for Congregational Life (a full-time position) will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of church life that contribute to and nourish the sense of fellowship, caring and identity. 5. Deliver sermons on a regular basis and participate weekly in worship services.

9. With the lead pastor and other pastoral staff work with the English Leadership Team in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the total English congregation church program.
Qualifications:
1. A committed follower of Christ who is passionate about helping other followers of Christ connect
with one another and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ
2. He/she must be a leader of leaders; an excellent communicator in one-on-one, small and large group
settings, and be a team player.
3. A clear and affirmed call to pastoral ministry
4. He/she must have gifts and competencies to effectively carry out this ministry position.
5. A Bible College or Seminary graduate (M.Div preferred).
6. Three years of ministry experience in a multiple staff setting preferred.

Job Summary:
Primarily responsible for strategizing, implementing and managing the annual giving campaign for Union Gospel Mission, in consultation with the Director of Development. This includes the acquisition of new donors and the cultivating of new and existing donors to generate revenue for Union Gospel Mission through the management and implementation of a coordinated direct mail and advertising program, middle donor and monthly donor program and special events. Ensures proper policies and procedures are established and followed, in line with CRA, CCCC and AFP guidelines.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Produces and presents short and long-term strategic plans to the Director of Development (DOD);
Develops and monitors the annual fund budget in consultation with the DOD;
Works with and is the liaison to UGM's outside fund-raising agency to plan, implement and evaluate the Mission's direct mail and advertising programs with the goal to increasing net revenue by:
conducting periodic review of the database to identify giving patterns, recidivism and attrition rates in an effort to improve renewal and upgrade gifts from annual donors
acquiring and cultivating new donors to become regular contributors to UGM
implementing and refining second gift and thank you gift strategies
cultivating existing donors resulting in increasing average gifts and donor giving to become middle, monthly and eventually major donors
planning and implementing radio-o-thons
Produces the appropriate donor segmentations for mailings using the Mission's fund-raising software program;
Produces a variety of fundraising reports and statistical analysis from the donor database and reviews with the DOD to determine effectiveness of our direct mail and advertising strategies;
Ensures appropriate stewardship and recognition for new, middle and monthly donors by implementing a volunteer call centre to thank donors;
Coordinates with an outside call center to ensure appropriate telephone scripts and information to support the Mission's advertising and direct mail programs;
Develops and coordinates the thank you/receipt insert program; and
Oversight of the Gift Processing area, which includes a Coordinator, three full time Gift Processing Clerks and seasonal temps.
Leadership & Management:
Oversees and works with the Gift Processing Coordinator to plan, develop and evaluate the gift processing area and it's staff to ensure accurate inputting of donor information, timely receipting (within 24 hours), effectively written thank you letters for all financial gifts and GIK donations, excellent customer service over the phone with donors, and accurate accounting in coordination with UGM's accounting department. This includes:
reviewing staffing, the assigning of responsibilities and training in professional customer service;
evaluating all donation processing procedures and ensuring receipting of gifts are following CRA guidelines;
writing and regularly updating an operations manual;
maintaining a thorough understanding of the Raiser's Edge fund-raising program, helping troubleshoot problems when necessary;
ensuring appropriate security measures are in place at all times to mitigate risk and the signing of confidentiality agreements with staff and temps; and
evaluating the cost and procurement of required supplies, materials and leased/purchased equipment.
Oversees and works with the Administrative Assistant & Special/Third Party Events Coordinator to plan, develop and evaluate:
administrative processes that will ensure the effective and timely execution of day to day responsibilities, the meeting of objectives and the accomplishment of regularly assigned action items;
targeted special events that align with the development ministries annual goals, ensuring clear objectives that result in an excellent ROI;
reviewing any new special event ideas by evaluating it through the special events matrix to determine the viability of the event; and
a template third party written agreement and toolbox of materials to give to individuals and organizations that want to fund-raise for UGM.
Oversees and works with the Special Gifts Coordinator to plan, develop and evaluate:

Plans and implements a UGM-wide strategic media relations plan emphasizing UGM's continuum of care.
