JOSH MACKINNON of Langley Christian School was the winner at the 3rd annual Community Care Foundation Youth Awards 2004 in the category of Visual & Performing Arts.

The event was held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver in late May. The CCF is a charitable organization whose mission is to enhance the services and facilities that will improve the health and well-being of the citizens of the Lower Mainland through financial grants and educational initiatives.

A donation of $4,000 will be made to Langley Christian School in Josh's name; it is designated for school programs in the field of visual and performing arts.

"My view of success is doing what you love and doing with all your heart. I love acting and love giving back to my community by taking part in plays and musicals that inspire others to follow their dreams," says MacKinnon, who has just completed grade 11.
