Why support orphans?

Many people have asked: “Why is the Master’s Foundation so focused on the orphans of Ukraine?”

We must first look to the word of God for the answer. Did you know there are more than 200 verses in the Bible which talk about the poor and God’s provision for them? All throughout the Old and New Testaments, God talks about people looking after the orphans and widows, the poor and needy.

We are commanded to hear the cries of the poor and to meet their needs. Scripture actually pronounces a curse over those who do not give to the poor.

In addition, Jesus warns what will happen in Matthew 25 if we do not give to “the least of these.” James also tells us that pure religion is to care for the orphans and widows. From this, one understands that we give to the orphans because scripture compels us to.

Also, we believe in investing in the next generation. Ukraine has more than 200,000 orphans – and that generation will have a huge impact on what Ukraine will be in the future.

How can we make a difference? One orphan at a time.

On Master’s website, at www.mastersfoundation .org, you will see four testimonies which will give you a glimpse of what God has accomplished through this ministry’s efforts. You will read how each orphan’s life has been changed, by caring for their physical needs and sharing the love of Jesus with them.

A final thought: When we meet the needs of the orphans and care for them, God will do his part and change their destinies.

This thought is declared in 1 Samuel 2:8: “God raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes, and has them inherit a throne of honour.”

Let’s be part of God’s plan to raise up the orphans of Ukraine – and place them in seats of honour.
