The popularity of the Alpha Course is growing in Eastern Europe.

In early 1996, Eurovangelism was given the mandate from Holy Trinity Brompton in London, England, to promote the Alpha program in Eastern Europe. Today, Alpha is operating in 13 of those countries, and in 10 different languages.

 Starting in Poland, Eurovangelism introduced Alpha to Romania, then Hungary, then down through the Balkan area and into Albania.

Alpha began to grow – and the growth has not stopped. Thousands of people are attending courses throughout Eastern Europe every week.

Currently there are some 700 courses running at any one time in the region – plus many follow-up courses, using ‘Life Worth Living’ materials.

Eurovangelism Canada has been encouraging churches in Canada to come alongside churches in Eastern Europe, to partner in their efforts.
