Taylor University College & Seminary
Taylor University College & Seminary

Edmonton, AB

Taylor University College is a Christian liberal arts institution in the finest traditions of evangelical scholarship.

Located in beautiful southwest Edmonton, Taylor is built on a tradition of excellence going back 67 years – first as CTI, then as North American Baptist College. In 2002, the school became Taylor University College and Seminary, named for   J. Hudson Taylor, one of the great figures of the 19th century.

Taylor grants provincially-recognized three- and four-year Bachelor of Arts degrees in English, Psychology, Religion & Theology, Social Science and General Studies.

We also provide a number of university transfer programs, applied emphases, specializations and certificate programs – which include business, music, education, youth work, leadership, intercultural studies, Christian studies and worship arts.

Taylor Seminary offers courses that prepare students for their vocations: intercultural studies, pastoral counselling, theology, hermeneutics, Greek, Hebrew, personal development/spiritual formation, preaching and worship, and more.

Taylor Seminary offers one-, two- and three-year programs, and provides opportunities for field study and supervised ministry.

One student from Switzerland commented on the “respectful and supportive” faculty, calling the seminary “an extended family.” Another student, from Edmonton, said his Taylor experience was “profoundly enriching and nurturing.”

Taylor University College & Seminary boasts an outstanding faculty and a thriving academic environment. Our hope is that students will become effective leaders whose lives reflect Christ’s example of selflessness – Christ-minded leaders who make a difference in the world.
