Encounter . . . it's about life!

Choices to be made after graduating high school are not always easy. What will you do now?

Western Christian College's Encounter program offers a comprehensive approach, for recent high school graduates to discover what life has to offer.

Four anchors form Encounter, which offers students the opportunity to examine themselves, to experience God, to engage community and to explore the world.

These anchor points guide students into finding out who they are - and who God is. Next, the students explore the nature of Christian community, and mission for the sake of the world.

Available as either a one- or two-year program, Encounter serves young people between the ages of 18 to 22. The difference between traditional post-secondary programs and Encounter is the fact that it is partly peer-driven, as they interact with the community inside and outside of the college.

Rolland Bouchard, the coordinator of the Encounter program, will live side-by-side with Encounter students at Western Christian. As a spiritual guide, he will help students discover who they are - and where they fit in the world.
