Horizon College & Seminary

Saskatoon, SK

What’s on your horizon? At Horizon College & Seminary, our mission is to touch the heart, teach the mind and train the hands.

A true education includes personal spiritual formation, academic and vocational preparation, and practical ministry training. These are the goals for everything we do at Horizon.

Academics are combined with Christian character development. Spiritual devotion is transferred into real ministry in our world.  We are committed to integrating academics with spiritual life and practical ministry, at every level.

At Horizon, we use a combination of semester-long courses and one-week module courses. Resident faculty members teach the semester courses. Several times each year, all students take a module course with guest teachers who are experienced practitioners in their fields of Christian ministry.

You have a wide range of program choices at Horizon College & Seminary: four-year degrees; three-year diplomas; one- and two-year certificates. Numerous courses have university transfer credit. Missions opportunities are available through internships and ministry tours.

You can combine study at Horizon with one or two years at a community college, for bi-vocational training. Looking further on the horizon, we have a seminary program for your future consideration.

Our pastoral ministries major has an awesome Internship program. We dedicate an entire school year (eight months) to supervised ministry development in a local church or other ministry setting. It doesn’t get more practical than that!

Horizon’s roots are in the prairies. We are committed to being connected to the unique needs of smaller and rural churches. We are also an urban-based college with programs that are relevant to a modern generation of churches and personal ministries.

Located in the beautiful city of Saskatoon, Horizon offers you the best of both worlds: a campus in the heart of a city which provides all the modern conveniences, within a short walking distance; and a community of staff and students which is small enough for you to get to know everyone.

For out-of-town students, we have a very comfortable residence with excellent food services, where full meals are served seven days a week.

Think about spending a year or more at Horizon College. It could be a huge step in following God’s call on your life – and expanding your personal horizon!

Check out our website at www.horizon.edu. You can request more information there. Horizon has more than $25,000 available in scholarships, bursaries and employment opportunities. Applications are available on our website.
