I CAME to Nanaimo Christian School (NCS) in 2007,
believing God would provide funds for our new school – as well as for
building a development department.
I am in awe at having the privilege of seeing these
young people receive an education according to the word of God –
taught by fine teachers, who love Christ.
I am thankful for our founding community, which
established our school two decades ago.
We are the inheritors of their faith, sacrifice, time
and efforts. I marvel at their step of faith, and the biblical
heritage we have received.

Deuteronomy 6 tells us we are to fix God’s words
in our hearts and minds; tie them onto us as symbols; write them on the
doorframes of our houses – and teach them to our children, talking
about the Lord first thing in the morning, during the day and before we go
to bed.
The scriptures are full of the heart of God. Christian
education is his idea.
Are we challenged today to bind the things of God to
our hearts, and go where he calls us to go?
Today, let’s choose to believe God for his vision
and plan for all of us, from the youngest to the oldest.
God is who he says he is, and he can do what he says he
can – and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
