First was Beyond the Gates of Splendor, a documentary which told Nate’s story.
It was followed by End of the Spear, a drama depicting Steve’s part in the transformation of the Waodani.
Now comes The Grandfathers, a documentary which incorporates animation.
It depicts Jesse’s struggle to find peace with his heritage, and the surprising role played by his old friend Mincaye.
Director Jim Hanon was at Missions Fest Vancouver in January, and granted an interview. It is available in the latest Options magazine, presented online at canadianchristianity.com/options.
