Although the focus of RTR will surely be the August 7 concert, this is a truly
comprehensive initiative bringing together youth, church leaders and everyday
Christians.
Seminars
RTR Involvement Seminars took place in March, training both pastors and youth
leaders to practice effective follow-up discipleship with new Christians. See
below for more training events.
Breakfast
Christian Life Assembly will be hosting a Pastor’s Breakfast at 9 am April 10. It will be an opportunity for all pastors to hear about RTR’s upcoming initiatives.
FM 4:19
Following that will be FM 4:19, a training seminar teaching youth how to reach out to non-believing friends,
and how to grow in their own faith. This takes place April 30 – May 1 at Pacific Academy, and features The Afters.
Action
There will also be opportunities to serve others in various ways. In June and
July, the BGEA will be organizing Community Action Service Projects for “the body of Christ to share God’s love in a tangible way.”
RTR organizers emphasize that this campaign can only be a success if the
Christian community fully embraces it.

The Christian Life and Witness Course will be held in a number of local churches May 3 – 22. Like FM 4:19, it is designed to build relationship with God, help
participants become more comfortable sharing their faith, and help them learn
how to take care of new believers.
Classes are free; no registration is necessary. Course books and materials are
provided without cost. Participants attend one class per week for three
consecutive weeks, at one of these locations:

To be a counsellor at Rock the River Tour West, participants must complete this
course.
Besides touring with tobyMac this year, Skillet (top) will be performing at Rock
the River. Also appearing will be downhere and Starfield – each of whom has made the cover of Options, Canada’s Christian youth magazine.
