Country fans will doubtless throng Vancouver’s GM Place May 22, to catch Brad Paisley. His latest album, Time Well Wasted, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s country album chart. He has been described as both a “young traditionalist” and an “unpredictable hitmaker.”

Montreal’s Arcade Fire will play at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby May 24. The indie group, led by Win Butler and his wife Régine Chassagne, has been dubbed “Canada’s most intriguing rock band” by no less than Time magazine. Their second album, Neon Bible, was characterized as “inspirational” by the decidedly non-biblical Spin Magazine.
