Paisley, Arcade and Hillsong
Paisley, Arcade and Hillsong Return to digital BC Christian News

Music lovers may have some tough budgetary and
scheduling choices late this month, as three acclaimed acts play the Lower
Mainland within days of each other.
Country fans will doubtless throng Vancouver’s
GM Place May 22, to catch Brad Paisley. His latest album, Time Well
Wasted, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s
country album chart. He has been described as both a “young
traditionalist” and an “unpredictable hitmaker.”

Montreal’s Arcade
Fire will play at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby May
24. The indie group, led by Win Butler and his wife Régine
Chassagne, has been dubbed “Canada’s most intriguing rock
band” by no less than Time magazine. Their second album, Neon
Bible, was characterized as
“inspirational” by the decidedly non-biblical Spin Magazine.

Everyone’s favourite Christian Aussie export hits
UBC’s Thunderbird Stadium May 25, as Hillsong
Tour ‘07 steamrolls across North America.
Purveyors of contemporary classics such as ‘Shout to the Lord’
and ‘Let the Peace of God Reign,’ these musicians could
seriously endanger UBC’s reputation as a secular institution.
