ACROSS southern British Columbia, kids will be active
in sports this summer. Athletes In Action – part of Power to Change
(formerly Campus Crusade) – offers great opportunities to encourage
kids in their faith while they have fun and gain sports skills.
AIA leaders are experienced, gifted – and
sometimes professional – Christian athletes who want to give back to
kids and be role models to them.
Gracepoint Community Church in Surrey (see picture
above) is typical of churches that facilitate camps.

This year they expect some 50 – 60 kids for a
week-long event held at Sullivan Heights Park June 30 – July 4 from 9
am – 3 pm. Cost is $80 (before June 15). For details contact Tanya at

Athletes In Action is leading summer camps focused on
soccer, basketball, hockey and volleyball all over B.C. – in
Abbotsford, Aldergrove, Campbell River, Chemainus, Cloverdale, Coquitlam,
Kelowna, Langley, Prince George, Surrey, Terrace, Vancouver, Vernon and
White Rock – between May and August.
