TWO Christian Info Society (CIS) publications were honoured last month.
BC Christian News received an Award of Merit from the Evangelical Press Association"(EPA), as one
of the top five Christian newspapers in North America. The paper also received
six awards from the Fellowship of Christian Newspapers (part of EPA).
First place for Best Critical Review went to Peter Chattaway for ‘Tarantino’s Inglourious a WWII fantasy’ (September 2009). Other awards were won by Frank Stirk, John Cody, Wally
Dennison and Jim Coggins.

BCCN also won second place in the 2010 Canadian Church Press (CCP) General
Excellence Awards for Regional Newspapers. The paper took first place in the
Department category, for the monthly Testimony feature.
Options, our national youth magazine, won third place in the CCP General Excellence
Awards for Specialized Magazines. Options also won third place in the Biographical Profile category, for John Cody’s ‘Korn for Christ: One Left, One Stayed’ (Spring 2009).
