She recently returned from making a documentary titled Uganda Extreme Home Makeover. She is hoping to raise support for building an entire village in the country.
She told BCCN about the makeover:

living in the jungles of Africa – with no running water or electricity, and losing hope for a bearable life.

She was wondering how she could continue to care for the three kids entrusted to
her, or how she would keep living with the rain that would flood her entire mud
structure.
Maria had cried out to God year after year, to be rescued.
God moved people on a different continent to build a brand new brick house for
her; she was blessed beyond all that she could ask or think.
Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson will be conducting a fundraiser October 2, featuring
Canucks assistant coach Ryan Walter as one of the keynote speakers. For more
