BC CHRISTIAN Academy (BCAA), a faith-based K-12 school in Port Coquitlam, has
reopened its preschool and daycare programs.
The school was forced to change locations when its lease expired in summer 2008.
It is renting the former Lincoln Elementary School site in Port Coquitlam, and
its new facilities are in some ways an improvement over its former site.
This is the first time the school has had a building all to itself, and the
facilities are large enough to allow the school to grow.

However, the move meant the school had to reapply for permits for its daycare.
Infrastructure, from water and electricity to fire lanes, all had to be
inspected, upgraded and approved. The process took a year, but the school is
now back in the swing of things.
They are ready for admissions in all three of their programs: a Group Daycare
for children 2.5 to 5 years old; a Preschool Program for children aged 3 to 5,
which includes more structured learning; and an Out of School program, which
cares for children before and after school, and on professional development
days.
BCCA is also licensed to run an Infant and Toddler program for children up to 36
months old, and is currently looking for suitable licensed staff who will be
able to provide the level of care that goes with this position.
Once the infant and toddler program is in place, BCCA will be able to provide
students a complete education – from infancy to graduation.
