EVERY year, grade 12 students face the biggest decision of their lives: where to go next.

Many Christian colleges and universities belong to Christian Higher Education Canada (CHEC). The organization coordinates an annual cross-country tour, where more than 30 post-secondary schools are represented.

Held in Christian high schools and churches, Christian College & University Fairs (CCUFs) enable students to talk to representatives from the schools and gain valuable information in choosing their next step.

According to CHEC representative Julie Scott, CCUFs have been held in 26 cities, with more than 30,000 attending over the past seven fairs.

“I used to be an admissions counsellor, and I really believe that students should consider this option,” said Scott.

CHEC’s council represents no fewer than six presidents of colleges and universities, plus a representative from the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. Other members of the CHEC Council represent a diversity of institutions.

CHEC executive director Al Hiebert is enthusiastic about the ongoing development of relationship between colleges, who have together initiated a major Ipsos Reid market research project.
