RISING Vancouver talent Laurell could soon add a Western Canadian Music Award to her growing collection of accolades.

Her EP, Fears Aside, has been nominated in the Outstanding Pop Recording category. The awards will be given at the 6th annual Western Canadian Music conference held in Edmonton October 16 – 19.

In recent years, the artist has been chosen Vancouver Idol; received a Vibe award for Song of the Year;  and won the We Are Listening Singer/Songwriter Award.

She also has the respect of some key peers – among them Brian Doerksen, who has stated: “I endorse very few people, but she is one who I recommend without hesitation. If Laurell is coming anywhere near you, do yourself a big favour and drop everything, grab your friends and go . . . Her music is honest yet uplifting, transparent yet God focused, and she is one of those rare people that has the gift and depth to touch all generations.”
