God questions
Paul Chamberlain – ethics and apologetics professor at Trinity Western University (TWU) – will be the resource person, as Kelowna Gospel Fellowship explores ‘The God Questions’ in a three-session series.
Topics under consideration will be:
‘Is Faith Intellectually Possible?’ (November 15 at 10 am); ‘Answering the Critics’ (November 15 at 7 pm); and ‘Navigating the Moral Maze’ (November 16 at 7 pm).
Promotional material for the sessions notes that part of their objective is to
help attenders “develop thoughtful responses to life’s biggest questions.” The church, affiliated with the Mennonite Brethren denomination, is at 3714
Gordon Drive.

Karis honoured
Kelowna’s Karis Support Society has been given the first-ever ‘Hope and a Future’ award, by Okanagan Valley Pregnancy Care Centre (OVPCC). In a press release,
the organization stated: “Karis Support Society’s commitment to love in action has impacted the community . . . by providing
safe housing, support, life skills and training for people caught in
life-altering addiction and mental health challenges.”
OVPCC executive director Theresa White said Karis “fills gaping holes in care, most notably for mothers and sisters and daughters
who have fallen through the cracks.” The award was given at OVPCC’s gala banquet, held October 26 at Evangel Church.
Burn 24–7
Sean Feucht is founder and director of Burn 24–7, a Texas-based movement described as consisting of “more than 80 furnaces fuelled by endless hours of vertical and Davidic worship
and prayer, burning in 15 nations that release the indigenous sound of

Feucht will speak at Kelowna Christian Centre November 5 – 8, in a ‘Prayer and Reformation’ conference.
Other speakers include Embassy / This Generation director Derek Schneider; and
Kelowna’s own Wes and Stacey Campbell.
A spinoff of the conference will be a Heather Clark Dance production, entitled ‘The Least of These,’ November 7 at 2 pm. Info: kcc.net.
Scenic photos
Photographers, take note. Evangel Church is looking for photos of Okanagan
locales, to use on the sanctuary screen as backgrounds for the Sunday morning
services.
Although photos become the property of Evangel, music minister Brian deViveiros
emphasizes that the images will be a real blessing to the church. JPEG format
photos can be sent to evangel@evangelbc.org.
Busy spot
The library at Broadview Evangelical Free Church in Salmon Arm is having a major
