JOAN HUNTER is a minister, teacher, author and healing evangelist; but it was
her calm, natural demeanor that first caught the attention of Pastor Andrew
Picklyk. He described her ministry style as “real and normal” – although what happens at her meetings is anything but ordinary.
In March, Picklyk witnessed what he considered divine healing transmitted
through Hunter, at a service in Delta.
He said a frail man in a wheelchair, who claimed to have pelvic cancer, came
forward. After Hunter prayed for him, he was helped out of his wheelchair, and
stood beside it. He pushed his wheelchair out of the building after the
service.
Picklyk recalled thinking: “Is this for real?” But he came to believe that he was seeing something miraculous.
“It looks like she is dedicated to her calling to help humanity. It is evident
that God is working through her.”

Based in Texas, Hunter spends much of her time travelling the globe. Her website
states that Hunter “is able to share a message of hope and restoration to the brokenhearted,
deliverance and freedom to the bound, and healing and wholeness to the
diseased.”
Further, “Joan’s life is one of uncompromising dedication to the gospel of Jesus Christ, as she
exhibits a sincere desire to see the body of Christ live free, happy and whole.”
Bible Truth, Picklyk’s church in Kamloops, will host Hunter’s Miracle Healing and Victory Weekend this month.
Reservation requests have come from as far as Saskatchewan, but the church has
decided not to take reservations. The sessions will be offered free of charge,
and an offering will be taken to offset Hunter’s travel expenses.
