IT ALL BEGAN quite simply.
Shirley Kingston, a former social service worker, discovered a product called ‘Healthy Bras’ and felt led to share this good news with other women.
Her passion to “share the health” was inspired by an oft-quoted line from Psalm 139:14. The passage reads: “I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” This scripture conveys a key health message: that people are God’s creation and, therefore should care for their bodies as well as their souls.
This was the first step in what Kingston feels was God’’s leading to start a web-based business featuring natural health products.
Kingston also uses the website to promote the Bracelet of Hope Campaign, which
provides funding for an AIDS clinic in Lesotho, South Africa.
When Kingston and her husband Carl moved from London, Ontario to Nanaimo, B.C.,
she felt led to use a space in her home to create Shirley’s Wellness Spa, a place “for all the senses.” This has allowed her an opportunity to share her faith through relating her
story to clients.
An infrared sauna was eventually added to the wellness spa. When West Coast
Saunas sent Kingston information on the health benefits of the sauna of which
she had not previously been aware, she shared this information through her
website.
This convinced West Coast Saunas to ask if she and Carl would be the company’s distributors for Western Canada. The timing was perfect, as Carl had recently
sold his business and was unsure what direction God wanted him to go. This
offer was an answer to prayer.

The key verse that has guided Shirley and Carl is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
