EBENEZER HOME is a residential care facility (nursing
home) which is currently planning an adventurous development called
‘Campus of Care.’
It will include an independent living building of 51
units, an assisted living facility of 70 units and replacement of the
existing care facility, which currently houses 91 beds.
Ebenezer’s board of directors is actively
pursuing this goal for the Ebenezer Home site at 33433 Marshall Road in
Abbotsford.
The original care facility was established more than
40 years ago, and for most of this time depended entirely on community
support, donations and revenue from private pay residents.
In March of 2007, Fraser Health Authority
approved temporary funding for 20 beds.
Future development of assisted living and residential
care facilities will depend on the bed needs in the community and will only
be possible with ongoing funding and support from the Regional Health
Authority.
The facility continues to offer residential care
services on a private pay basis, including palliative care and respite
care.
Ebenezer is one of only a few facilities in the area
offering respite care for short periods (a few hours to a few days), or for
longer periods.
It also runs an active Adult Day Program weekdays,
with over 20 people on the waiting list.

active volunteer program, which also numbers about 80.
